Fiona Kennedy, former presenter of 'Record Breakers', joins Lip Dub Record Breaking attempt!

Posted: Wednesday 16 February 2011

On Sunday 13th January 2011 Fiona Kennedy will join The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama to film a continuous film of Lip Dub to a medley of songs including The Killers cool single 'Mr Brightside'.

Lip Dub was started by a university in Germany and has now taken YouTube by storm as institutions all over the world are creating their very own Lip Dub film as a way of showcasing their place of study.  The idea is for a vast number of students to lip sync along to a track while touring around their campus - but all in one single camera cut.

The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, based in Glasgow, want to do this but bigger and better than ever before, gathering over 300 students in front of the camera for their own record breaking Lip Dub attempt!  The record number of hits on a YouTube Lip Dub currently stands at just over 8 million views.

Fiona is no stranger to record breaking attempts as she was the first female presenter of award winning BBC network show 'Record Breakers'.  By joining this huge project as a famous Scottish face she hopes to kick off 2011 by helping set a new Lip Dub world record for Scotland!
